Terry Sisson (born February 25, 1949) is an American computer systems engineer, teacher, and social entrepreneur known for his work in the New Energy field and for founding nonprofit organizations focused on education and collaborative problem solving.
Biography
Sisson has a background in physics and electronics. His career in computing and training has included positions as a Computer Systems Field Service Engineer, a Computerized Training Designer, a Field Service Training Instructor, and, at one point, a Mortgage Banking Loan Officer. He is based in Colorado, United States.
As a teacher, Sisson mentored students in Colorado through his global nonprofit organization MadeByKIDS. He later founded a second organization, Solutions Discovery, continuing his interest in education, collaboration, and social change.
Work
Over several decades Sisson performed research and assembled research teams to build and evaluate advanced energy systems. Drawing on his background in physics and electronics, this work took him around the world to visit inventors and evaluate their technologies.
Sisson was a founding member of the New Energy Congress, an effort intended to identify what its participants regarded as the world's best energy solutions. He also served on the Board of Directors of the New Energy Movement, an organization that advocated for the introduction of new energy technologies. His interests in this area included Magnetism and other approaches to energy generation studied within the new energy community.
