Piotr Ogonowski is a Polish researcher and lecturer at Kozminski University (Leon Kozminski Academy) in Warsaw, Poland. Working outside the mainstream physics community, he is known for a series of theoretical papers proposing a unified description of gravitation and electromagnetism, centered on a mathematical object he calls the Alena Tensor.

Biography

Ogonowski is based in Warsaw, Poland, where he has worked for over a decade as a lecturer at Kozminski University. In addition to physics, his professional activity spans management, organizational studies, and mathematical and computational economics. His work in theoretical physics has been pursued independently of a formal physics department and has been published in peer-reviewed journals as well as reported in popular-science outlets.

Work

Ogonowski's research concerns the relationship between the geometry of space-time and classical field theory, and attempts to reconcile general relativity with electromagnetism and quantum mechanics. His early paper "Time dilation as field" (2012) developed a Maxwell-like reformulation of general relativity.

His later work introduces the Alena Tensor, described as a class of energy–momentum tensors within which the description of a physical system in curved space-time and its description in flat space-time with fields are treated as equivalent. Ogonowski characterizes this as a "developed method" that allows the curvature of space-time to be smoothly adjusted, as if by a slider, while remaining consistent with quantum descriptions. He argues that, starting from the Einstein field equations, the framework can describe gravitation and electromagnetism together, and he has explored possible connections to the cosmological constant, dark energy, and dark matter. These proposals are theoretical and, by the author's own statement, require further study before they can be considered established.
