Matthew S Emery (also known as Matt Emery), based in Lafayette, Indiana, is an independent researcher who studies and promotes the magnetic current theories of Edward Leedskalnin, the builder of Coral Castle in Homestead, Florida. He is the author and curator of the website leedskalnin.com, where he presents his own theoretical extensions of Leedskalnin's work.
Biography
Emery is a self-directed investigator of magnetism and electricity whose work centers on the writings and experiments of Edward Leedskalnin (1887–1951). Through his website, leedskalnin.com, he has published research on magnetic current, the perpetual motion holder, and the possibility of diminishing the effects of gravity, subjects he approaches through direct experimentation rather than institutional science.
Work
Emery's research develops from Leedskalnin's premise that individual North and South pole magnets, rather than being magnetic monopoles, act as unipoles arising from a helical structure of magnetic current. Building on this idea, he authored the "Double Helical Electromagnetic Interaction, A Magnetic Unipole Theory" and the related "Anti Parallel Double Helical Electromagnetic Interaction Theory," both dated 2009, in which he proposes that electricity consists of two equal and opposing magnetic forces moving in a double-helix formation.
He has also written on Edward Leedskalnin's Perpetual Motion Holder, which he interprets as a demonstration of a persistent, circulating magnetic current. In presenting these ideas he compares Leedskalnin's technique of observing magnetic patterns to the X-ray diffraction methods used by Rosalind Franklin in the study of DNA structure.
