Kathleen Luke is an American counselor and independent researcher based in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, whose work brings together psychology, energy medicine, and the study of consciousness. She is known within dissident-science circles for relating human consciousness to the Electric Universe paradigm, and is listed in the Worldwide List of Dissident Scientists.
Biography
Luke holds a Master of Arts in psychology and counseling. Her interest in consciousness grew out of hospice work and the study of conscious living and dying, which led her toward counseling and psychology and to the question of consciousness and spirituality. She trained in Jungian and Transpersonal psychology, studying Past Life Therapy with the Jungian analyst Roger Woolger, and completed training in the Synthesis of Conscious Living and Dying, the Clear Light Society's practice of co-meditation, and Equine Facilitated Learning and Therapy.
As the daughter of a nuclear physicist and biologist, Luke sought a grounding in the physical sciences for her work with consciousness and healing. She found this through the energy-medicine scientist James Oschman, and from her studies with him she developed a practice she calls Body Energy Meditation.
Work
Luke maintains a counseling practice in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, combining talk therapy with energy work to encourage new perspectives and awareness. Her broader interest lies in the nature of consciousness and its relationship to the physical world. She came to the Electric Universe paradigm, which holds that electromagnetic forces play a central role in shaping the cosmos, and regarded it as expressing an interconnection between the terrestrial and the celestial that paralleled the connection she perceived between mind, body, and energy.
