Jacques Fleuret is a French engineer, physicist, and motivation psychology practitioner based in Antony, France. He conducts independent research in theoretical physics, particularly on alternatives to the concepts of dark matter and dark energy, and also works in the field of motivation psychology.
Biography
Fleuret trained as an engineer at Télécom ParisTech (formerly SupTélécom). He went on to earn a Master of Science from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and a doctorate (PhD) in physics from the Université Paris-Sud at Orsay.
In addition to his scientific work, Fleuret practices as a psychopraticien de la motivation (motivation psychology practitioner), offering consultations related to motivation, stress, and related concerns. He has practiced yoga for four decades and has written on the psychological analysis of Buddhism.
Work
Fleuret describes himself as one of a small number of research fellows exploring new theoretical frameworks intended to account for cosmological observations without invoking dark matter and dark energy. His independent physics research focuses on developing models that would remove the need for these concepts.
In psychology, Fleuret specializes in motivation. He is the author of the book Du malaise à l'espoir ("From Discomfort to Hope"), which combines social analysis, Freudian perspectives, reflections on the role of science, and practical exercises in motivation psychology.
