Work
Wernsdörfer has circulated a paper titled "Non-adiabatic Lorentz contraction/extraction and conservation of energy," in which he examines the relationship between the theory of relativity and quantum mechanics together with the Lorentz contraction. He proposes that, when the non-adiabatic case of Lorentz contraction is considered, the form of the Lagrangian changes such that, in his view, scalable energy-production methods might become possible. These claims lie outside the scientific mainstream, which treats the Lorentz contraction as a kinematic effect with no associated extractable energy.
