Eyal Brodet is a physicist and researcher known for proposing the existence of a "hidden variable in time," a hypothesis he has developed across a series of papers in Physics Essays and Applied Physics Research between 2010 and 2017. He is listed in The Worldwide List of Dissident Scientists.

Ideas

Brodet proposes that the decay or structural change of physical objects is governed by an additional, "hidden" variable associated with time, rather than being a purely probabilistic process. In his 2010 paper "The possibility of a hidden variable in time," he suggests a correlation between an object's internal information and its likelihood of decay, and he has argued that such a variable could be incorporated into the framework of the Standard Model with testable experimental implications. Later papers extend the idea to possible photon mass, particle energy and momentum, angular momentum, and a proposed "hidden symmetry in time." These proposals lie outside the mainstream understanding of quantum decay and special relativity.
