Donald L. Hamilton (Donald Louis Hamilton) is an author who has developed a self-published alternative cosmology, presented on his "Novan" website and in his writings, and is the author of the book The Mind of Mankind: Human Imagination — The Source of Mankind's Tremendous Power (Suna Press, 1996). He is listed in The Worldwide List of Dissident Scientists.
Ideas
Hamilton proposes what he calls a "full relativist cosmology," in which an attractive influence draws galaxies outward toward the boundary of the universe. He identifies this influence as a candidate for the sought-after "fifth force" and treats it as a primary source of energy in the universe. In his account of inertia, he argues that a force is required either to accelerate a body or to raise it to a higher "space energy level," which he associates with changes in a body's inertial mass. He also frames absolute space as central to the phenomenon of inertia.
