Domenico Mico Idato (Domenico Antonino Idato) is an Italian author and independent theorist known for an alternative account of the physical creation of time and space. He is listed in The Worldwide List of Dissident Scientists.
Ideas
Idato proposes that time and space are physically "created" incrementally rather than existing as a fixed background, and he argues that each particle carries its own time, distinct from the observer's time. In his model the process of creation begins at the Planck scale at the core of the universe, with an outward-directed negative energy driving a uniform expansion and electromagnetic mechanisms producing the progressive lengthening of wavelengths (time) and rarefaction of what he calls vibratory filaments (space). These ideas lie outside the scientific mainstream.
He has published his views in book form, including Relativity Version 2.0 and Quantum Mechanics: Version 2.0, and presents his work on his personal website.
