Dereck Hawco (born January 17, 1976) is a Canadian energy engineer and Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) based in Ontario, Canada. He is a Certified Energy Manager whose professional practice centres on energy management and sustainable technologies, and who takes an independent interest in questions of cosmology, catastrophism, and human origins.
Biography
Hawco attended the University of Windsor from 1995 to 2000. He subsequently pursued a career as an energy and engineering professional, earning the designation of Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) and the Certified Energy Manager (CEM) credential from the Association of Energy Engineers. His industrial, institutional, and commercial work has included energy procurement and cost optimization, utility management, and green-building practices associated with LEED certification. Based in Toronto, Ontario, he has worked in the field of electric-vehicle mobility.
