Ideas

Devor is the author of the book Project Mind: The Conscious Conquest of Man and Matter Through Accelerated Thought, published under the pen name T. Kun. He argues that scientific inquiry is fundamentally a spiritual enterprise and seeks to bridge modern science with Jewish mysticism, drawing in particular on Lurianic and Ashlagian Kabbalah.

Through the Project Mind Foundation, Devor proposes the creation of what he calls a "MindTank" (as distinct from a think tank): a facility in which selected scientists would be supported in sustained meditative states intended to produce creative, "holistic" scientific discoveries addressing problems such as illness, mortality, and material scarcity. These proposals lie outside the methods and framework of mainstream science. In a 1999 interview with Jeffrey Mishlove's Thinking Allowed/Virtual U series, conducted from Jerusalem, Devor described the project and its aim of fusing science and spirituality.
