Claus Bürger is a German electrical engineer (Diplom-Ingenieur) known as a proponent of "Global Scaling" and proton-resonance ideas, and an advocate of so-called free-energy technology. He is listed in The Worldwide List of Dissident Scientists.
Work and ideas
Bürger studied electrical engineering and environmental sciences and formerly operated an engineering office for Global Scaling in Cologne. Global Scaling is a fringe framework, originating from work associated with Hartmut Müller in Russia, which claims that natural structures and processes across all scales follow logarithmic scaling patterns tied to a resonance of the proton. Bürger presents these ideas through his projects Universal Harmonics and Proton Resonance, and is a co-author of texts including Global Scaling – Basis eines neuen wissenschaftlichen Weltbildes ("Global Scaling: Basis of a New Scientific Worldview") and Pumpen im Rhythmus der Protonen ("Pumps in the Rhythm of Protons"). His interests also extend to regenerative and "free" energy, the unipolar generator, and process and product optimization.
These proposals lie outside the scientific mainstream: Global Scaling and free-energy claims are not accepted by established physics and have been criticized by skeptics. From around 2011 Bürger increasingly moved from engineering toward seminar teaching and spiritual healing work, and he has been publicly associated with the promotion of a device marketed as "SKLep."
