Work
Guthart is the author of the book 11. September. Ein Untersuchungsbericht ("11 September: An Investigation Report"), published by SKD Bavaria Verlag in 2002. The illustrated volume presents an alternative analysis of the destruction of the World Trade Center towers, disputing the mainstream conclusion — reached by investigations such as that of the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) — that the buildings collapsed as a result of fire-induced structural failure. His arguments fall outside the accepted engineering consensus on the events.
