Augustus "Gus" Prince (January 11, 1924 – January 5, 2018) was an American nuclear physicist who, in his later work, studied the force-curve theory of Roger Joseph Boscovich. Prince held a bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania, a master's degree in physics from the Drexel Institute of Technology, and a doctorate from the University of Cincinnati. In 1966 he joined Brookhaven National Laboratory in Upton, New York, as a nuclear scientist, where he worked for about 27 years in the laboratory's Data Evaluation Management Group on nuclear data evaluation.
Prince treated Boscovich's force curve as the basis for a paradigm intended to describe physical phenomena at both the microscopic and macroscopic scales. He presented a paper titled "An Analytical Form of the Boscovich Curve with Applications" at the University of Pavia in Italy in 2011, in which he explored connections between Boscovich's theory and Einstein's work.
