Overview
Dürr argues against Einstein's special theory of relativity, contending that Einstein was not the true creator of the theory but rather its "apostle," and that Henri Poincaré performed the decisive creative work in his 1901 and 1904 papers. In its place Dürr favours an emission theory of light — with no ether and the speed of light fixed relative to the source — which he argues explains the 1881 Michelson–Morley experiment trivially, without the Lorentz transformations required by ether theories or special relativity.
