David Hatcher Childress is an American author and publisher of books on alternative history, ancient mysteries and fringe science. He is the founder of Adventures Unlimited Press and is listed in The Worldwide List of Dissident Scientists.
Work
Childress has written or edited numerous books in a self-styled "Lost Science" series, compiling historical and speculative material on suppressed or forgotten technology. His book Anti-Gravity and the Unified Field explores claims that gravity, electricity and magnetism arise from a single unified field, and discusses topics such as antigravity propulsion, free energy, and the work of Nikola Tesla. These themes place his writing well outside the scientific mainstream, and Childress himself does not claim formal academic credentials in physics or archaeology.
Much of his output collects and popularizes fringe claims rather than presenting original experimental research. He is a frequent speaker on these subjects and has appeared in television programming on ancient mysteries.
