Tom Wilson is a Canadian-born scientist and technology professional who holds a PhD in plant physiology and has worked for many years in the semiconductor industry. He is a contributor to The Thunderbolts Project and a proponent of the Electric Universe and plasma cosmology.
Biography
Wilson was born and raised in Canada and later settled in the United Kingdom. He earned a PhD in plant physiology and subsequently spent some two decades working in the semiconductor industry.
Work
Wilson became associated with the Electric Universe model and plasma cosmology, and has described his path toward these ideas in interviews with The Thunderbolts Project. As a contributor to the project, he has written and spoken on the interpretation of astronomical and cosmological observations from an Electric Universe perspective.
He has been a speaker at Electric Universe conferences, where his presentations have examined the role of belief systems and assumptions in science. These have included "Believing is Not Seeing: A Belief Crisis in Modern Cosmology, Astrophysics and Planetary Science" and "Ptolemy, Belief Systems, and Other Dark Matters," in which he used the geocentric Ptolemaic system as a case study for the dynamics of scientific certainty and drew philosophical parallels between historical and modern cosmological ideas.
