Alfred Evert is a German independent researcher and retired professor of informatics who is known for his self-published "aether physics and philosophy" and for a large collection of proposed Free Energy and New Energy machine designs. He develops these ideas outside the framework of mainstream physics and describes himself as a "physical layman" pursuing the subject as a hobby. His work is published in German and English on his website, evert.de.

Biography

Evert spent nearly four decades working in data processing, following the field through its successive technologies from punched cards and mainframes to personal computers and the World Wide Web. He worked as a system engineer and business consultant and, for some thirty years, as a professor of computer science (informatics) and business applications, from which he is now retired (emeritus). His earlier studies included philosophy and business administration, and he began his career training at an auditing company.

Evert lives in Marbach, Germany. Since 1997 he has devoted his attention to what he calls fluid-technology and to inventions related to free energy, work he presents as a personal hobby rather than as professional physics.

Scientific contributions

Evert's central project is a self-styled "aether physics and philosophy," in which he proposes that the entire universe is a single, continuous and partless substance he calls the Aether. In this view all physical phenomena—matter, forces and radiation—are interpreted as patterns of motion within that continuum rather than as distinct entities. He states that his system is built from a small number of axioms taken from everyday experience and developed by what he describes as strict logical deduction, and he criticizes conventional physics for relying on concepts such as "field" that he regards as insufficiently defined. These ideas are outside the mainstream of accepted physics and have not been adopted by the scientific community.

Alongside the theoretical work, Evert has published numerous engineering concepts for machines intended to produce useful energy, many of them inspired by the vortex and implosion ideas of Viktor Schauberger and by the rotor experiments of Felix Würth. Topics range from wind and centrifugal devices to a redesign of Schauberger's "Repulsine" and analyses of the historical Bessler wheel. Claims of free or over-unity energy of this kind are not accepted by mainstream science, which holds them to be incompatible with the conservation of energy.
