Charles Anthony Laster is an independent researcher and author known for an alternative atomic model built on the Wave Structure of Matter (WSM) approach associated with Milo Wolff. He is listed in The Worldwide List of Dissident Scientists.
Work
Laster published a series of papers through the General Science Journal in 2011, including "A More Universal Atomic Model", "Spin and Charge in Particles", "The Electron a Double Solution", and "Pair Production: The Origin of Charge, Mass, and CP Symmetry". Building on Wolff's Wave Structure of Matter, he proposes treating the electron as a standing-wave center formed by intersecting spherical waves, aiming at an atomic model he argues is compatible with quantum mechanics while remaining amenable to classical description. He has referred to this framework as "S.W.A.P. Theory". These ideas lie outside the accepted framework of mainstream particle physics.
