Robert South Neiswander majored in electrical engineering and minored in aeronautical engineering, though he went heavy on physics with instructors like Charlie Townes, Willie Fowler, and later, Dick Feynman. He earned his PhD at CalTech in 1954 with the thesis, [/pdf/Neiswander_rs_1954.pdf Techniques in Treating Non-Linear Closed-Cycle Systems]. Skepticism of Special Relativity is his hobby.
