Gurcharn S. Sandhu is an engineer by profession but a physicist by pursuit. After his M. Tech. from Cranfield Institute of Technology (UK) he rendered a long distinguished service in the Indian Air Force and the Defense Research and Development Organization of India. Fundamental research in physics initially started as his hobby but gradually turned into a passion.
