Michael Gmirkin graduated from the University of Oregon in 2001 with a BA in Humanities with an Emphasis in Medieval Studies and a minor in Computer Information Technology. He has worked as a computer sales associate at Fry's Electronics and as a software technical support worker at a major call center. He currently works in the social service sector as a full-time office support at a non-profit serving adults with developmental disabilities. His hobbies include interests in the Electric Universe and Plasma Cosmology paradigms, as well as a general broad interest in science, technology, physics, astronomy and cosmology. Interests outside the scientific realm include photography, technology and writing, among other things.
