Dan Newburn (born April 9, 1938) is an American clergyman, journalist, educator, television news director, publisher, and photo artist based in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he has worked for more than 40 years.
Biography
Newburn was adopted as an infant and later traced his biological family through adoption records, an experience he has spoken about publicly. He built a long career in Las Vegas that spanned ministry, journalism, education, and the visual arts. His digital art renderings hang in homes throughout Nevada, the American West, and elsewhere around the world.
Work
Over the course of his career Newburn has worked as a pastor, newspaper editor and reporter, educator, television talk-show host, and news director for public television. He is associated with the Morgan-Newburn Foundation for the Arts in Las Vegas, under whose name he has produced a large body of photo-based and digital art works, including portrait renderings of public figures and other subjects.
