A former student of Dr. Thomas G. Barnes, Dr. Richard R. Pemper coauthored a series of significant articles with Barnes on classical electromagnetic theory and the structure of the electron. Dr. Pemper earned a B.S. in Physics and Mathematics from Bob Jones University (1975), an M.S. in Physics from the University of Texas El Paso (1977), and a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Notre Dame (1983). His Ph.D. dissertation at Notre Dame involved work in Elementary Particles. He served as an Associate Professor in Physics at Houston Baptist University (1982-1986), a Sr. Research Physicist at Dresser Atlas (1986-1988), an Applied Mathematician at Roche Diagnostics (1989-1990), a Sr. Scientist at Western Atlas International (1991-2000), and a Project Manager at Baker Hughes (2001-2009). Dr. Pemper now serves as a Principal Physicist at Weatherford International.
