Biography
Vuyk was educated at the Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) in the Netherlands, where he received an MSc degree in 1971 in the field of architectural engineering. He worked as an architect and later, in retirement, devoted himself to theoretical physics and cosmology as an independent researcher. He lives and works in Rotterdam.
Work
Vuyk's central idea is that the shape and microstructure of elementary particles determines their function; from this premise he derives the name of his model, "Quantum Function Follows Form". In the model, the vacuum is described as a lattice seeded with fast oscillating massless Higgs (or Axion-Higgs) particles, and all elementary particles are built from a single massless, rigid, transformable three-dimensional ring- or torus-shaped string. Collisions and mergers of these strings are proposed to produce compound knots that are identified with the quarks, leptons, photons, gluons and gravitons of the Standard Model.
From this base Vuyk has developed a wide range of proposals, including a "propeller-shaped" spinning fermion, black holes that repel rather than attract matter, a mirror-symmetric entangled multiverse, alternative accounts of the Hubble redshift and of star and galaxy formation, and explanations of phenomena such as ball lightning interpreted as a micro dark-matter string-knot black hole.
Publications
Vuyk is the author of the book The New God Particle and Free Will (Lulu, 2008, ISBN 978-1-4092-1031-3). He has posted well over one hundred papers to the viXra preprint archive, among them:
- 3-Dimensional String Based Alternative Particles Model (viXra:1103.0002)
- New Black Hole Physics, by Fermion String Repelling Black Holes: the Origin of Quick Star/Galaxy Formation
- The Alternative Origin of Hubble Redshift
- Mass in Motion according to Quantum FFF Theory
- Axion-Higgs 3-Dimensional Rigid Transformable Strings and the Compound 650 GeV Z-Z Decay into Quarks/Leptoquarks
- What is Wrong with Current Physics to Explain Ball Lightning
