An ontological interpretation is made of the new conception of Einstein's ether. This interpretation leads to the conclusion that the nature of the ether is pure energy. Michelson-Morley's experiment is analyzed with this new conception of the ether, concluding that scientists and philosophers of the last century overlooked the energetic ether associated to planet earth.
