	This paper revises the theory of Michelson-Morley interferometer, exposing an error in the derivation of the formula for the propagation time of the light beam that moves perpendicular to the direction or Earth motion. The Lorentz assumption of length contraction for one of the paths in the interferometer is redundant. So the Fresnel conept and the Lorentz concept are mutually exclusive, and therefore cannot be simultaneously present in a valid theory. The Fresnel concept is not at all denied by contemporary science, and is to be preferred.
