Gahan, of United States Patent 6,900,761, "Automated portable remote robotic transceiver with directional antenna," granted May 31, 2005 and assigned to Optistreams, Inc. The patent describes a portable, self-contained wireless transceiver with a robotic antenna-pointing system capable of automatically acquiring satellite or other target antennas for personal, commercial, and military use.

			Durban has also reported working on alternative-health devices, including Rife-type instruments, and states that he collaborated with Barry Lynes, author of ''The Cancer Cure That Worked''. He further states that he designed a brainwave analyzer intended to measure correlates of intelligence in collaboration with John Ertl, a researcher in cybernetics.

			Durban is best known publicly for his statements concerning the Toroidal Power Unit (TPU) associated with inventor Steven Mark, a device that was claimed to extract usable energy from the environment.
