Across a set of papers written between 2002 and 2012, Taylor develops the Loophole Hypothesis, which he applies to Newton&amp;#039;s laws of motion, superconducting loops, and Dirac&amp;#039;s fine-structure states. He proposes that light behaves as a &amp;quot;momentum oscillator&amp;quot; and argues on that basis that the wave–particle duality of light, the constancy of the speed of light, and the outcome of the double-slit experiment can be re-interpreted. He further argues that the motion of a light source is not imparted to the emitted light and that the motion of a receiver is not combined with it. These positions run counter to the standard relativistic and quantum-mechanical accounts.&lt;br /&gt;
