'''Donald L. Hamilton''' (Donald Louis Hamilton) is an author who has developed a self-published alternative cosmology, presented on his "Novan" website and in his writings, and is the author of the book ''The Mind of Mankind: Human Imagination — The Source of Mankind's Tremendous Power'' (Suna Press, 1996). He is listed in ''[[The Worldwide List of Dissident Scientists]]''.

==Ideas==
Hamilton proposes what he calls a "full relativist cosmology," in which an attractive influence draws galaxies outward toward the boundary of the universe. He identifies this influence as a candidate for the sought-after "fifth force" and treats it as a primary source of energy in the universe. In his account of inertia, he argues that a force is required either to accelerate a body or to raise it to a higher "space energy level," which he associates with changes in a body's inertial mass. He also frames absolute space as central to the phenomenon of inertia.

These proposals are the work of an independent writer and lie outside the scientific mainstream. Hamilton presents his ideas primarily through his own website and self-published writing rather than the peer-reviewed literature.
