'''David Deak''' is an inventor and self-described physicist known for work on acoustic levitation and ultrasonic fluid-handling devices. He is listed in ''[[The Worldwide List of Dissident Scientists]]''.

==Work==
Deak designed and built an acoustic levitation chamber, a cubic Helmholtz-type resonant cavity driven by multiple loudspeakers coupled through acoustic waveguides; by adjusting the amplitude and phase of a continuous resonant sound field, the device is intended to control the position of levitated objects within the chamber.

He is the named inventor on several United States patents for ultrasonic fluid devices, including "Momentum Transfer Pump" (US 5,525,041), "Momentum Transfer Apparatus" (US 5,982,801) and "Ultrasonic Phase Pump" (US 6,234,765). These describe apparatus that use ultrasonic energy to move liquids, gases and aerosols without conventional mechanical pumping, and that address related phenomena such as cavitation and sonoluminescence. His energy-related work led to his inclusion in listings maintained by the Institute for New Energy.

On his personal website he identifies himself as a physicist, artist, inventor and writer, holds an Amateur Extra Class radio license (call sign W2PHD), and indicates associations with Queen Mary College, Imperial College London and the University of Copenhagen.
