			Evert's central project is a self-styled "aether physics and philosophy," in which he proposes that the entire universe is a single, continuous and partless substance he calls the [[Aether]]. In this view all physical phenomena—matter, forces and radiation—are interpreted as patterns of motion within that continuum rather than as distinct entities. He states that his system is built from a small number of axioms taken from everyday experience and developed by what he describes as strict logical deduction, and he criticizes conventional physics for relying on concepts such as "field" that he regards as insufficiently defined. These ideas are outside the mainstream of accepted physics and have not been adopted by the scientific community.

			Alongside the theoretical work, Evert has published numerous engineering concepts for machines intended to produce useful energy, many of them inspired by the vortex and implosion ideas of Viktor Schauberger and by the rotor experiments of Felix Würth. Topics range from wind and centrifugal devices to a redesign of Schauberger's "Repulsine" and analyses of the historical Bessler wheel.
