The paper examines the isotopic and genotopic structure of relativistic theory through Santilli's isominkowskian spaces, in which the motion of particles and electromagnetic waves inside inhomogeneous and anisotropic physical media is represented by an altered space-time geometry. In the isotopic case the authors obtain a maximal speed of propagation of causal signals that is less than or equal to the speed of light in vacuum; in the genotopic case they introduce a Lie-admissible complex-time model giving complex interaction speeds and complex mass values. Using a small-distance derivative model they also derive a Lie-admissible form of the Wheeler-DeWitt equation and discuss the resulting asymmetry and inhomogeneity of space-time and the arrow of cosmological time.
