Schuyler "Sky" Jelsma is an American physicist and independent researcher based in Paonia, Colorado. He holds a Master of Science in Physics and conducts experiments across various realms of alternative physics, including new energy technologies.
Biography
Jelsma earned a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Technology from Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado, in 1983, graduating summa cum laude. He went on to receive a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Colorado State University in Fort Collins in 1990, followed by a Master of Science in Physics from the University of Colorado, Boulder, in 1993.
From 1992 to 1999, Jelsma worked at the Center for Astrophysics and Space Astronomy at the University of Colorado, Boulder, first as a research assistant and later as a professional research assistant, where he designed and developed custom x-ray optical systems and led efforts to commercialize them. From 2000 to 2003, he served as head research and development and process engineer at Research Electro-Optics in Boulder, overseeing precision optical machining operations.
He is the owner and research and development consultant of Jelsma Consulting & Development, LLC, in Paonia, Colorado.
Work
Jelsma's professional work has centered on the design and development of custom x-ray optical systems, precision optics and ceramics machining, magnetic systems and generators, and prototype industrial devices. His independent research explores alternative energy technologies and other areas outside conventional physics, and he conducts experiments in various realms of alternative physics.
