"Does the black hole in M87 falsify the Big Bang Theory?" is an article by Glenn Borchardt published on 18 April 2019 on Beyond Mainstream, reprinted from his blog.

Borchardt turns the first black hole image against the theory it was reported as confirming. On the Big Bang account the universe emerged from nothing 13.8 billion years ago and has been accumulating matter since, with spiral galaxies the youngest and ellipticals the oldest. He argues the object at the centre of M87 is hard to reconcile with that timetable, and reads it instead as support for an infinite universe of indefinite age.
