Christian Sutterlin (born 1 February 1943) is a French fluid-mechanics engineer, a graduate of ENSEEIHT Toulouse (1967) and a former Navy officer. He works on alternative paradigms in physics, with interests spanning the ether, angular momentum, fluid mechanics, and analytical philosophy. Beyond his own research, he is significant to the dissident-science community as a publisher: he owns ÉDITIONS D'ASSAILLY (Assailly Publishing), the house that issues Jean de Climont's directory of dissident scientists.
Éditions d'Assailly and the Worldwide List of Dissident Scientists
Through his imprint Éditions d'Assailly, Sutterlin publishes The Worldwide List of Dissident Scientists, compiled by the French engineer Jean de Climont. It is the largest catalogue of its kind: a directory of scientists, engineers, and doctors who dispute — or propose alternatives to — mainstream positions in physics, especially relativity, quantum mechanics, and cosmology.
A revised edition released in November 2015 was announced as containing nearly 8,000 dissident names, each with home-page addresses and notes on the person's work; that edition updated most links, added many new entries and email addresses, and removed duplicate or information-less names. The list is issued as a book-length HTML directory and is also available through Google Books. Éditions d'Assailly likewise publishes de Climont's other titles.
The work is a natural companion to this wiki's mission of documenting science outside the mainstream, and it complements the biographical and bibliographic records collected by the John Chappell Natural Philosophy Society.
